When Google introduced the Pixel Watch, we couldn’t help but admire the awesome first-party watch faces they offered. The catch? These cool faces were exclusive to Pixel Watches, leaving other Wear OS 3 and Wear OS 4 smartwatch users feeling left out.
The Sideloading Solution
But wait, there’s good news! If you own a Galaxy Watch 6 or 6 Classic and envy those Pixel Watch faces, you can get them too. Thanks to sideloading, you don’t have to miss out any longer. However, there are a few extra steps involved – it’s not as simple as downloading and installing an APK file.
How to Get Pixel Watch Faces on Your Galaxy Watch
To make your Galaxy Watch look as cool as a Pixel Watch, follow these steps:
Before you start, ensure you have the following:
- Android SDK: Install it on your computer.
- Pixel Watch Faces APK: Get it from APKMirror.
After you’ve installed the Android SDK Platform Tools, move the Pixel Watch Faces APK to the same folder. For Windows, it should be something like “C:\platform-tools/pixel-watch-faces-apk,” or for Mac, “/Users/[Your username]/platform-tools/pixel-watch-faces-apk.”
Now, you’re ready to roll:
- Open the Settings app on your smartwatch.
- Scroll down and tap Software info.
- Find Software version.
- Tap Software version until you see the Developer mode turned on notification.
Developer Mode Activation
- Once Developer mode is enabled, go back to the main Settings menu.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and select Developer options.
- Scroll down and tap the toggle next to ADB debugging.
- Once enabled, scroll down and tap the toggle next to Debug over Wi-Fi.
- After a moment, an IP address should appear; jot this down.
- From your computer, ensure you are connected to the same Wi-Fi as your watch/phone, and open the Terminal app.
adb connect [YOUR WATCH'S IP ADDRESS]and hit Enter.
- On your watch, tap either OK or Always allow from this computer to Allow Debugging.
- Open File Manager (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
- Navigate to your platform-tools folder with the Pixel Watch Faces APK.
- Right-click on an empty space and select Open in Terminal.
- Wait for the Terminal app to load.
adb -s [IP ADDRESS] install pixelwatchfaces.apkand hit Enter.
- After a few moments, you should see a Success message in the Terminal window.

Enjoy Your New Watch Face
If you’ve followed these steps without any hiccups, congratulations! You’ve successfully installed the Pixel Watch Faces on your Galaxy Watch 6 or 6 Classic. Now, simply open the Galaxy Wearable app, tap Watch Faces, and select your desired watch face.
A Word of Caution
Bear in mind that these watch faces weren’t originally designed for other smartwatches, so you might encounter some customization issues. Nonetheless, enjoy your newfound watch face envy!
